Goodbye Summer 

(and summer vacation)

...Hello Fall!

Well...fall will come, but will fall weather ever come?

When you're in Texas, you are sweating till about Christmas.

A staple in any fall closet is a good pair of jeans. 

{you've heard my spill on J Brand love storys}

It really doesn't matter the cut, color, style, brand, or anything it just needs to be something that you are really comfortable in and that you love.

You want to be able to wear them with a tank top and flip flops in September and a chunky sweater and boots in December. 

I'm all about versatility, baby!

Lately, I am super obsessed with Rag and Bone skinny jeans. 

I have the dark (but not too dark) Skinny Jeans and I could wear them everyday of my life!

They are comfortable, relaxed, yet dressy enough to wear with a blazer.

A good pair of skinnies are a must and these fit everyone wonderfully. 

My bestie is a 24 and she rocks them. 

I am a...well...not a 24 and they fit me like a glove!

So that's the skinny on the jeans (ha!)

Off to Hamptons!

I missed ya yesterday...

attended the kickoff luncheon for the Dallas Cowboys

which was fun to hang out with Jerry and the boys.

We even got a selfie with JJ #winning

As for the work week, that's a wrap...

Off to the city for a night and them Hamptons all weekend!

Hello Short Week!

Today is my fabulous mother's birthday

Happy Birthday Barbie!

She is so amazing

and I mean a saint for raising me!

 

She is getting some really good gifts...we will have to save those for another post since she won't open them until tonight!

 

3 days of work and then off to NY to visit friends in the city...

and the Hamptons to end this summer with a bang!!!

 

Montauk is the hottest place in the Hamptons this summer and

I just can't wait to sip on something sweet at

The Surf Lodge...

The Sequin Bomber Jacket AND how to wear it!

It's no lie, I have seriously been buying blazers and jackets left and right.

I think it's because my style has become more sophisticated with age and 

being in the real world instead of that 4 year vacation 

(some people call college)

ANYWAY.

I have started changing up my looks with some of my basic blazers 

(white, black, pink...you know the essentials!)

by draping them nonchalantly among my shoulders, just like in the below pic!

It's actually a 50s or 60s cardigan trend that some old ladies still rock.

Old ladies are cool, so take cue!

It's not too much sequin, because it's just the right amount of bomber.
